My primary purpose here is to provide you with the information that I give to new graduates and newly licensed attorneys who visit me asking for advice on starting solo. Career Services from my alma mater recommend me for that very reason, and I have a handful of visitors each year.

My goal is not to write on topics that are so eloquently discussed by other writers, but instead to link you to resources that have been useful to me and to provide a synopsis of how those resources have helped me. I will also chronicle the development of my solo practice over time. It is imperative that attorneys wishing to start solo practices understand the challenges and rewards of doing so, and I hope that my personal journey provides some insight to you as you weigh your options.
